I teach practical and research based tools that help manage anxiety and depression. Therapy helps manage current levels of distress as well as underlying unresolved pain from the past. I encourage the process of developing an authentic and integrated relationship to one’s self and others. At the same time, I often give direct advice. I have provided psychotherapy for over 23-years and believe it works! I am aware that most people seek therapy after having had many attempts to address their symptoms alone and remained confused. I want to join you in the journey of healing and growth.
My approach pays special attention to the relationships and how they impact our mental and physical health. My treatment modalities, include psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, life-span developmental approaches, attachment theory and research. I incorporate current research about human behavior, relationships, and the brain.
